jan 28th is a test and tune and sunday the 29th is the event all are welcome and the event is at sunny south raceway in grand bay.
sunny south raceway is on the east side of grand bay right next to where they are or were rebuilding the bridge. if your comming from grand bay then you will be ok. the bridge is out almost 100ft from the entrance to the track last time i drove through the construction to get to the entrance. regestration starts at 7 and should end around 8 or so but you will want to get there to talk with everyone as much as possible and look at the course. tech just make sure nothing in your trunk, take out your floormats, wheels are torqued down, battery is tied down and secure, and all your fluids are good. the bigest thing is the battery tie down and the fluids. they do check your brakes. i will be out on sunday. ill be putting on new parts on saturday for the event. you should think about comming out on sunday as well if you can.
Ok I understand the battery and wheels needing to be secured, fluids being topped off, brakes working and I guess the trunk being empty but why the need to remove the floormats?
its happened to me on the street in an s10. its not fun and really scary. luckly i was able to shut off the engine shift to nutral and toss the darn mat in the back and refired the engine before i got stuck on a hill.
well for those of who did not come missed a great event. i ended up sliding the camaro all ofer the place and just not caring about my time cause i was having too much fun and ended up mid pack with a pax time right behind a CP trans am. monique did her best preformence ever and for the first time did not get STD (slowest time of the day).
