in the newest GMHTP mag (sept 10), the Editor talks about a new EFI Connection's developed a kit that allows an LS1 PCM to be swapped into a LT1 car. which makes for Tuning MUCH easier!! This has apparently been around for a while, but i just found it, damit!!!! Just thought some of you LT1 owners might be interested. here's a link to GMHTP Feb 10 article on it:

Deffinatly the way to go, just a bit on the expensive side. Us LT1 budget guys are hard pressed enough to do a Delteq, let alone the EFI Connection swap. If I had some extra cash laying around I would sure do it though!

If i had an lt1 i would get this kit and be done with it. As much trouble as i see some of you guys on here have with your opti's, makes me think that would be one of the first things i did.

from what ive heard about it , fawkin rocks .. not only do you eliminate the opti and all the disavantages it has . you also get the lsx tuneabillity . tuning on the fly , great for nitrous . being able to have a sbc/ltx with sizeable cams idle at a decent rpm . takes away so many of the driveability issues with memcal chips or having to send out your pcm . i was looking into doin all the wiring my self and out sourcing all the parts and i believe it came out to be around 1100 .

I had a 94 formula at one point and I loved it, but I did come across this swap you're talking about. It was high on my to-do list when the money came around.

Yea..I heard of this swap before but i dnt know how it all works..It seems like you would be able to tune your LT1 and get more power alot easier than the reg LT1 methods..
