since it doesnt appear youll be using it, just sell it
just teasing ya big buddy
Are the hoses available in black? If they are, that's the way I'd go, particularly if the valve covers are the same red as the TB. And yeah, you're going to be asked to pop the hood on it quite often I believe. Two different reds right there in the front will make it look like it was made by Subaru!
I agree. But that is now about 11th or 12th on the list...... I would ultimately like to get tb redone.
It's amazing how long our lists are.
Then get three or four of them, have them done in different colors and just bolt on the one you feel like having each time you go for a drive. But then you may have some idiot saying, "No, the car that beat me had a green TB and this one has a blue one. It's gotta be a different car". I guess there are drawbacks no matter what way you go.
Kane just pull it off and send it to me and I will do it a funky color then it will be all on its own no need to match nothing and trust me I have some funky colors.
I can vouch for that. He has a zillion color choices.
Lol. Is there a pc color close to black chrome???
I have a transparent black so if I do a chrome then a trans black would look like black chrome so yeah I would have that or I have a black chrome color
well worked on it today, but only redid some things, so no Forward progress. The alternator bracket i purchased wouldnt allow me to use the tensioner in the stock location. So I purchased a Really Nice one from Chris at CBR Performance. Got it on and extended alt wire. just gotta figure out what belt i need. Managed to cut my stock fans in half, only to find out the the right side fan was too thick and inter with the filter on the turbo..... so ruined a nice set of stock fan and still need to spend more money on getting another fan. Did manage to fab up a bracket for my vacuum distribution block, that's goin under the cowl. So Yay!!!
You should just get a wrx. It already has a turbo and you can play in the dirt. OR get a easier turbo setup..REAR MOUNT?
yea wishing i would've have gotten rear mount now.
I hear ya. From what I have seen, it is beyond PITA to install a front mount.
understatement!!!!! If could find someone to trade me a Maggie for my set up I'd do it in a heartbeat
Don't Kevin have one?
But does Kevin want to trade it for a PITA.
But we aren't talking about trading for LT1, Clayton
sent from ya mama
Is someone jealous of my LT1?
Sent from a small, black hole in space
LT1 = slow unless that's what you have under the hood of that Nova?
You have learned well, grasshopper!
Great progress this wkend, while you all were having fun!! Motor is done. Got last pipe welded up Friday, so turbo and kit is now Complete and installed, well minus a couple vacuum hoses, since no one in town has a simple 90* fitting. So now gauges are all that's left. Oh and I'm gonna need to swap my gears out. Finally some progress!!!!
Word to ya motha
wow man, glad to hear youre getting closer to having it on the street again...cant wait to see it.
Bout FN time, those jackstands must be whipped! All B/s'ing aside, glad to hear it, I know this is a load off your mind with all the stuff you have going on. Maybe CTC 2013 will be Kanes debut?
Keep at it. We all can't wait to see it.
Gauges, you don't need no stinkin" gauges. and gears are like brakes, they're overrated. Just fire it up already!
Hey wait a minute. Why do you need to swap gears if it's just going to sit on jack stands?
Same reason you need a gym. To hold the concrete down, I reckon.
Now that's just plain uncalled for. But I guess I asked for it.
Well Roy, I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who leaves themselves wide open for a pot shot from Kane.
