I want this. (hate triple pillars). Any Ideas how to mount this WITHOUT drilling holes in dash and NOT using 3M tape???

    1. Does your car (with all your upgrades) still have a/c?
Those 3 vent holes look awful tempting if the a/c is no longer there

    2. you can make a mounting plate that goes over the dash, yet not touch the dash.

    3. Why would you want the gauges in the middle of the car?
When driving/racing, you would have to glance away from where you are driving/racing.
I would try to mount them somewhere more in the area of sight when driving.
If I was at my shop, I would sit in my t/a and give you a better exact location, that will have to wait until saturday.

    Keeping AC.

What is this dash mount you speak of??

No room and nothing would look good mounted on top of gauge cluster....

What's wrong with it where it is? I mean, it's not like your going to be able to go fast enough for it to fall off.

Why this fear of drilling a hole in your dash? How you gonna run the wires without drilling a hole? Do you ever plan to remove it? If not, I know some guys that can custom mold you a pod that will be sunk kinda between the vents and match your dash. But you'll have to put a hole to run the wires........

you could make an aluminum mounting plate out of some .030 thick al clad aluminum (it can be polished to a mirror like shine) and basicly build a base plate with 2 arms that go back and slide under the dash pad on each side of the defroster vent an secure it under the pad and to keep from scratching the dash get some velcro and put the fuzzy side on the bottom

That would require pulling the pad out, correct?? Which 9 out a 10 times will crack upon removal?? And if it sets on top of defroster, the that becomes non-functional then too??

yes that means lifting and pulling the pad and you could angle the arms to go on each side of the vent not over it

Kane you know that thing that's kinda rubbery that you can lay you cell phone on and it not slide around. I can't think of what it's called. It's some kind of pad. It might would hold it in place?????

Ok heres an thought, go ahead and keep the A/C, put the gauges in the center 3 a/c vent locations (you'd still have one on each end of the dashboard, only one of each would blow on ya) and I'd be willing to bet with those 3 vents out of the way, it would increase the pressure coming out of the other 2. this way you could have your cake and eat it too.
